So, it looks like I've been out of the loop for a while, so I may as well update anyone out there who still wants to know what's going on. :D

I'm still with Shared Journeys and am managing five clients at three sites. I had six, but one moved to the new site that opened in December and while I do miss the guy, I still see him on occasion and all is good. ^_^

I started taking Taichi classes in the summer of last year as an attempt to get one of my diabetic clients to do something physical. Since then, I have been taking Taichi once a week and have moved up to also taking a Quigong class once a week as well with a wonderful and personable Sifu, Kim Ivy of Embrace the Moon in Ballard, which tends to lean on teaching mostly Chen Style and it has proven to be a total blast. :) In a couple or five years down the line, I'm thinking about studying fan form. It's very fascinating.

Jim, Aud and I bought a house in August. Not exactly what we had planned, but while wandering around looking at places while visiting Mike, Jen and Luke up in the Issaquah Highlands, we toured a townhouse that we fell in love with and somehow managed to get a loan before everything fell apart. O.O Thankfully the recession has not cost either Aud or I our jobs with Shared Journeys, but the company the Jim was working for had to lay him off and he is currently looking for employment. With two of us still bringing in full paychecks, we are able to keep the house and everything.

For my birthday this year, Jim and Aud took me to Anaheim, California and I went to Disneyland for the first time ever. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad we got to go. Pictures are available on my Facebook page, if anyone is interested. And if any of you are over there on FB, please feel free to make a friend request! For some odd reason, I have been over there quite a bit lately. O.o;; We also went to Knott's Berry Farm, Medieval Times and Hollywood (on the day of the Oscars, unfortunately, so I didn't get to see the Mann's...it was blocked off for the stupid celebrities. Humph!) and surrounding areas. Saw big brother Schmoe and had dinner with him...decided that I really like Venice Beach and may run away there someday (yeah, right!).

Aud and I attempted NaNoWriMo this year...right before the opening of a new site at the company. Obviously, we failed miserably and I think she's much more upset by this that me. That's what Prozac will do to you, kids. No creativity left to save your own life. >.<

I recently got into a cute, six-episode J-Drama called "Cat Street," which is based on the manga by Youko Kamio. I like the manga, but there's something really hysterically adorable about the live-action series that I think I may like just an eensy bit more. It's much less disappointing than the live-action television series for "Princess Princess," even though the fan service in it is beyond hysterical.

Started recently watching "the Mentalist." Interesting show. Still watch "Criminal Minds." Perhaps I really should have considered the Criminal Psychology degree after all? Who knows. Either way, there hasn't been a whole lot of time for much fun stuff, other than the Taichi/Quigong and a few weekly shows. Curse of management, I suppose.

How the hell is everyone else? Is anyone still out there?

I don't think I need to say much more on this, other than: I told you so, you moronic dickheads! *nods* Yes, fifteen years later, I am still angry about this case and now that this has finally come to light, I really hope that all the people that persecuted those three kids are having a great time sleeping at night, knowing that a real child murderer is still out there.

Okay, so they've released the rough trailer for Dragonlance.

I may cry. Why did they draw Raistlin so badly?! So far, I am unimpressed, and that is very, very sad. I was so looking forward to this. *cries*

Okay, so I was reading through Tsukai's Wizard and discovered there's a new Dragonlance book coming out that takes place during the Chronicles and is actually supposed to be pieces that got edited out of the original trilogy. Anyway, after many long years, it is said that an animated Dragonlance movie will be coming out in Fall of 2007. Of course, this is all well and good and I'm happy they're basing it off Autumn Twilight. But some of the casting choices made me roll my eyes, but a few names in particular jumped out at me and I immediately thought of certain individuals on my flist. Take a look:

http://www.dragonlance-movie.com/movie/cast/

Yes, Panda, you read that right for Tika. Don't pee all over yourself. Of course, Tanis's casting gave me a few laughs as well. *waves as Tzi* Neeways, now that the strange TMNT movie will be coming out about the same time (check out http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/teenagemutantninjaturtles/ if I haven't annoyed you about it yet...), I'm a little worried that we might see something creepier than the live action Hpng Kong Phooey movie one of these years.

Now if only Margaret would finish the Raistlin Chronicles. I know Scrounger's going to bite it, but he's just adorable as all hell. *grins*

I had this nagging insanity in my head and wanted to share. You poor people. *snickers*

Either way, this isn't meant to be serious, obviously. Images were mostly found on firebender.com and I just played with them. Dialogue belongs to "Can We Keep Him?" by Kit Spooner.

Trunkated version of part of the story behind the cut... )

No, I'm not really completely nuts...just trying to procrastinate doing my Communications Theory paper. ^_^

Swiped this one from Orin and wanted to share:

True Story. A religion teacher assigned her class an essay on what makes a good Christian. One student wrote about praying nightly, say no to abortion, banning gay marriage, and donating money. The other student wrote about talking to God and allowing people to enjoy their lives, and supporting gay marriage. The day the teacher was to hand the papers back, she called up the second student and told him she would pray for him when he went to hell. The student asked why would he be going to hell, and why he got an F on his paper. The teacher told him that Catholicism is against gay marriage. The student looked at her for a minute, then said aloud, "I'm gay." The teacher kicked him out of class as if he had said fuck or worshiped Satan. A girl in the back of class who had a boyfriend and was obviously straight got up and left too.

If you would leave the classroom, repost this. It doesn't matter if you're straight, bi, or gay. It doesn't matter if you're catholic or not. Everyone is a human being and deserves happiness.

Oh, and stop using Christ to be a bigoted asshole.

**note: I love the above comment. Even have a pin for my backpack with a similar message. Must share them one day with you all.

Oh yeah...seeing as it's near Halloween, I have a lovely Hellsing theme up with a great wallpaper that can be viewed here because Pu-sama defines Hellsing fanart for me, both is serious and comical. Love her style. Love her. So must all of you. *nods* As a sidenote, for some of you *eyes a few of my darlings* she also does Violinist of Hamelin art, too... And got a cheeseball travel mug while at the evil of all coffee places so hubby could get a chiantico or whatever the drinking chocolate is called.

And Mandy Patinkin is still a f*cking stud. I don't need a new show to watch, but Mandy's character smacks heavily of Roy Hazelwood and the man really intrigues me. *nods*

Shouldn't have ordered that coffee...can't sleep...clowns will laugh at me... O.o;;

I haven't laughed this hard in a while...and neither has this guy, I think. (you may have to cut and paste the link for it to work)

Oh yeah...picked up "Howl's Moving Castle" and the sequel, "Castle in the Air" today at the library just before 11. 3/4 of the way done with Howl's...damn, this is addicting. I know there's gotta be more books out there for this...

I was going to post a long thing about my weekend with my in-laws, but I came home to news I always half-expected, and never wanted to hear, so I'll be going on hiatus for a while longer. Thanks to everyone who expressed your condolences about Caradonna.
