Today so far, I have:
- Lazed around with my cat lounging on my arm and being the cutest thing ever :'D
- Gone grocery shopping
-- Related: I got strawberry cream puffs :D
- Bought a random dude McDonald's
- Got to say hello to a very nice pitbull service dog
- HAD MY CAT SIT ON MY LAP OF HIS OWN FREE WILL FOR LIKE HALF AN HOUR this is amazing for him, because he likes being around me, but he's not really a lapcat \o/
- Found hibiscus soda, which I got three kinds of (plain, with lime, and with orange)
- Splurged a bit at Kinokuniya, but I found the Pandora Hearts artbook, so it took very little mental convincing for this; I had to reflect that it was very nice to be able to splurge without guilt :x
- I STILL HAVE TRIPLE BAKA STUCK IN MY HEAD. IT NEVER GOES AWAY. EVER. (I thought maybe Pygmalion would replace it, but no.)
- Not written a SINGLE THING ha ha ha ... hahhhhhhh ...

Also damn, guys, the new sensei singing robot looks like he wandered off of the pages of all the bl manga I have been binging on this week. It's like candy of the very worst sort, filled with things that you know will make you feel queasy later, but you can't stop because there is something about it that is so compelling and then SUDDENLY IT'S HOURS LATER AND YOU ARE LIKE ?! HOW MUCH DID I ACTUALLY DO . . .
And I think I owe people uploads. IF I TOLD YOU I WOULD UPLOAD STUFF FOR YOU OVER THE PAST WEEK, NOW IS THE TIME TO TELL ME, BECAUSE I HAVE TOTALLY FORGOTTEN.

You know what gets on my nerves? Dostoyevsky slash! Razumikhin and Raskolnikov are totally hetero; anything more than that would be DEFILING A GREAT WORK OF LITERATURE because we all know gay is mutually exclusive with "tormented, pretty Russian proto-Nietzsche Wannabe" just as much as with "boisterous but caring best friend". This is the internet. If you want to write gay porn, write it about two people who are big and buff and mentally stable. And it's not like Razumikhin does anything more endearingly hurt-comforty than make it his duty to take care of Raskonikov when Rodya's all messed up and fainty and feverish. Nursing a sick and/or horribly troubled person back to wellness would be totally out of place in fanfiction. Who would write such a thing?
Remember, Crime And Punishment slash makes the bebby Adrian cry.

There is nothing right about a sexual relationship between superior and subordinate. Oh, there so is! It couldn't work! There's too much of a power imbalance. Which makes it fun, IMO. This means I don't want to see any more Byakuya/Renji, Schneizel/Kanon, Chakotay/Tom or Jack/Ianto smut out there. And no, I refuse to believe that the latter is canon. More like I refuse to believe CoE is canon, but that's a rant for somewhere else.
Although, if you sickos wonderful people absolutely must write superior/subordinate smut, remember that the superior has to be in charge. They're the boss, got it? Unless they want to give up their responsibilities for a bit and let someone else be in charge, y'know. The subordinate can never, not in a million years, top, or do anything but lie there and take it like a good subordinate.
Any kittens will be shot and served on rice.

14th November, 2009. 12:26 am. What's a Day Without a Murder or Two?
You'd think that given all the killing I write about, I'd want to watch something else at the end of the day, but I love crime shows. Unfortunately, I think I've finally seen every "Law and Order" permutation ever made at least twice, thanks to the wonders of reruns and a gazillion cable channels. So I've had to find something else to feed my habit-- er, fill the vacuum. I've tried a few shows, but none of them have hooked me until I stumbled upon "Criminal Minds."
It's not a 100% sell. Often it's a bit graphic and sadistic for my taste, but I really like the main characters, particularly the smartest kid in the room, Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). I'm just a sucker for lanky, socially awkward, brainy, long-haired young blonds, I guess. Also love Mandy Patankin/Joe Mantegna, and the quotes they use at the beginning and end of the show, including some from Harlan Ellison and Cory Doctrow. Trouble is, it's running new episodes and reruns on at least three channels, spanning the entire run of the show. So I'm getting bits and pieces completely out of order. Where did Mandy go? Why is Spencer on crutches/in NA/kissing a girl in a pool? Who's that woman? Just saw an epi with Jason Alexander as the villian. Cool! And Garcia reminds me very much of a good friend who recently moved away. "That's how I roll." Miss you, Theresa!
Netflix to the rescue. I'm starting with Season 1, Episode 1, and working my way through. Just checked on the website. They're in season 6?!?! Why did I not know about this show sooner? Doug estimates 78 hours. I'm going to have to pace myself.
Current mood: nerdy.
Current music: Criminal Minds rerun, of course..

Hi everyone!
So a few days ago while we were discussing Chapter 101 several of us got on a discussion about how when Roy stands back up he still has Riza, but since the original was so tiny I felt it needed to be much larger. And so I bring my fan art of the scene! =] It's not my best, but I promised I would share.
